The shelter is open to the public on Saturdays from 10am-3pm. Our volunteer staff is comprised of people just like you with busy lives, families and jobs, so we're always looking to add to our crew! Even if you want to come in and play with the ferrets, that would be a huge help to us!

Below is a list of simple things that you can do that really make a difference. Submitting an application & then signing up for a shift will help us quickly connect you with your interests :) Please feel free to send us an email if you have suggestions or ideas of your own. Since we are partnered with a veterinary clinic, volunteers must be 16 years old, or older. Thank you for your understanding.

Come in during the week to play with the ferrets Trim nails, clean ears, bathe ferrets Scoop boxes Wash dishes and litter boxes Fill water bottles Change bedding Scrub down cages Do a load of shelter laundry Make hammocks for the shelter Help with a Shelter Outreach by hosting a booth at a local petstore Help create shelter publications Write an article for the newsletter Help maintain or suggest new items for our website Take pictures & send them in Help us advertise (handing out business cards, brochures, etc.) Transport ferrets (to the vets, to their new homes, etc.) Foster elderly or ailing ferrets Adopt another ferret!
