The Washington
Ferret Rescue & Shelter is a Washington State non-profit group
with Federal 501(c)3 non-profit status.
There are several ways
to help the shelter.
If you have any
questions about donations, contact the shelter staff.
Donating Money Monetary donations
via check or PayPal are always
welcome. Donations are used exclusively for the benefit of our ferrets. Many large corporations will match their employees'
donations to 501(c)3 organizations. If you are interested in a corporate
matching donation, have your employer contact
the shelter so the necessary paperwork can be done. You can also choose to sponsor a ferret or two. Sponsorships go toward
food, utilities, bedding, medication, etc. for both our adoptable and foster animals.
Please send all checks and sponsorship forms to: Donating
Supplies The shelter can
always use donated ferret supplies and equipment. If you
have anything you'd like to donate that's not listed on our wish list, please email
the shelter to see if your items might be useful. Donating
Time We can always use help cleaning
cages, trimming nails and giving the ferrets attention. If you
would like to come by, volunteer hours are from 10am-4pm every Saturday.
Of course, one of
the best ways you can support the shelter is to adopt or foster
one (or two, or three, or ???) ferrets. We'd be happiest if all of our fuzzies found great
new homes! Ferrety Fashions Visit our online store at Cafe Press for fun t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, etc. with our logo.
Got Ferrets? We have our Got Ferrets? car decal (pictured right) available at the Shelter for just $5. Stop by and pick up yours today, or we can mail one to you. Simply email your address & PayPal your donation to us.
Cages, Galore! The Shelter has used cages, bedding and other supplies for sale. We have just about everything needed to bring home your new pet today! iGive
If you regularly
shop online, please
consider joining iGive. Doing so will donate a percentage of your
purchase directly to the shelter. There are dozens of merchants you can choose from, even ones that are not directly ferret related.
Once you have
joined, head to the iGive
Mall and start shopping! Depending on the merchant's policies,
they will give one or two percent of your purchase price to the shelter
-- at no cost to you. You're going to be shopping online anyway -- please
try to remember us when you do! GoodSearch
What if the Washington Ferret Rescue & Shelter earned a penny every time you searched the Internet? Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support our cause? Well, now it can! GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up! GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you’ll be supporting your favorite cause. Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter the Washington Ferret Rescue & Shelter as the charity you want to support. And, be sure to spread the word! Amazon.com
If you are online purchasing books (ferret related or not!), you can easily benefit the shelter for free
by using one of our affiliate shopping links. Our merchant partners
donate a percentage of their profits to the shelter, so everything you
buy from them helps us out at no cost to you! Check out our book suggestions below or jump right to Amazon.com.
