Washington Ferret Rescue & Shelter

Liane ~

My name is Heather Olson, I adopted a ferret named Chloe about two-ish years ago and wanted to let you know how great she was doing! I also wanted to submit a little something to happy tales, and I've included a couple pictures on the bottom of Chloe. I cannot thank you enough for doing all you do for this shelter. You rule. Thanks for your time. :)

I found WFRS through a search online about three years ago and went to check out the shelter one evening after work with a friend of mine. I already had two ferrets, but when I saw Chloe somehow I knew I needed a third. Liane told me she had been left on the doorstep of her home, in a shoebox duct taped shut with no food or water. Chloe was a notorious "biter" and didn't enjoy human hands fondling her, or anything human for that matter. She didn't like my two other ferrets at first either, fighting with them constantly and I had to keep her separate from them. Writing this down, it doesn't even seem like I own the same ferret! It took months of affection and attention, but now she's my cuddly baby! She loves to be held (but only for a little while), loves to give kisses and hasn't bitten anyone in a long time! She adores her ferret kin, and can usually be found in her cage underneath the other two. :-) I love her dearly, and am so glad an organization like WFRS is around to help ferrets like her find loving homes like mine!
